Back at it!

GHS had a minor hiccup with access to our website. We have had accessed restored and are currently working on updating things such as the current menu. Please reach out to the school if you have any questions or concerns.

School Cancellation Procedures

With winter on the horizon, here is a reminder of GHS’s school closing procedures.

GHS uses WMUR News 9 as the designated location where school closings
due to weather will be posted. These closings are listed online at
www.wmur.com. Once you go to their website, click on the tab for closings,
and you will see Granite Hill School listed. Granite Hill School DOES NOT do
a phone message or email to families when school is canceled.

If your student’s district closes due to weather, but GHS is still open,
transportation will not be provided and your student is not expected to come
in. If your student’s district has a 2 hour delay, transportation will pick your
student up after the 2 hour delay.

Welcome to November

As we set the clocks back and the seasons are changing, there are changes happening at GHS too. Teachers worked on report cards last week and families should see first quarter report cards soon. Students continue in the same classes for the second quarter. For the second quarter the GHS community is excited to welcome Fatou on board. She will be teaching math. With holidays coming up we would like to remind everyone to keep an eye on the school calendar. In terms of scheduled days off students need to follow the calendar of GHS and NOT their home district.

Fall Update

Teachers have been working hard to prepare progress reports. Families can expect to see these in the next week.

We are now one month into the school year. Students have settled into the routine of their classes. This year, we have also implemented school wide fun Friday’s. This occurs on the last Friday of the month. This is a day taken to work on SEL skills through various activities including the ropes course elements and field games.

Welcome Back

We are excited to start the new school year. Please see the attached newsletter for information about the start of the school year.
