The Maintenance Technician is a full-time (40+ hr.), hourly position with a benefits package including personal and vacation leave, medical and dental insurance, and a 401 (k). This position provides services for all membership agencies within The Orion Group. This position will provide high quality, responsive, and professional services in: carpentry & building repairs; vehicle maintenance; landscape/yard work; plowing and snow removal; processing of wood for wood boiler; and some cleaning of buildings. This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor. This position will have direct and indirect supervision of part time maintenance department employees, and vocational students. 5 years experience in building maintenance required. Must be dependable with excellent customer service skills. Must have a valid driver’s license and own vehicle. Criminal background check will be required.
As we settle into the third week of school, we are excited to see what this year brings for GHS. We are excited to welcome new paraeducators and a new Life Skills teacher to our program. Students have settled into their classes and are engaging in a variety of activities. We are excited to have our classrooms full of students again!
This year, GHS has expanded its sportsball program so students can participate in team sports or activities during every wellness block. Students should come to wellness each day prepared with proper attire and footwear.

Throughout the ESY program, students engaged in a variety of activities. Some students took on the role of entrepreneur, creating a business within the school; others honed in on their cooking skills; and others completed work-study jobs to gain real-life on-the-job skills training. The ESY program ended with a school-wide cookout to send our students off before the start of the 2026-2027 school year. We hope all of our families have a great few weeks off, and we are excited to have our students back for the first day of school on August 31, 2026.
New hours this year! 8:20 -2:20 each day except Wednesday; students will be dismissed at 12:30.

It is hard to believe that we are already coming up on the home stretch. April break is next week, and when we return, we will hit the ground running.
Once we return from a week of rest, teachers will be preparing 4th-quarter progress reports. We will have just over a month before the end of the school year. The last day of school will be June 10th.
